Engineering Student Intern - Structural
The Structural Engineering Student Intern will be responsible for assisting in the design of primarily residential, light commercial, industrial, and civil structures under the direction of a Structural Engineering Designer. In addition, candidate may work on structures in mining, energy, healthcare, and other market sectors from time to time. Candidate will be designing with wood, steel (both heavy and light gage), concrete, glass, and masonry utilizing current building and material codes, structural engineering software, and hand calculations. AutoCAD and/or Revit will be utilized daily with this position. Construction inspections and site visits will be completed to verify designs. Some client and partner coordination to complete projects will be involved. Some travel is required on occasion.

Must have EI certification and 0-5 years of structural engineering experience. Some experience preferred in building and bridge design including steel, masonry, concrete, and timber structures. Residential design experience a plus but not required. Ability to learn Autocad and/or Revit structure required. Ability to look up building and material codes, and provide detailed calculations and drawings. Must be able to work in a highly team-oriented environment and be conscientious and detail oriented.

Must have EI certification and 0-5 years of civil engineering experience. Some experience preferred in land development including grading, drainage, utility design, and street/public utilities. Municiple and DOT experience a plus but not required. Some proficiency in Civil 3d is expeccted. Ability to look up local and state jursidictional codes and requirements, and provide detailed calculations and drawings. Must be able to work in a highly team-oriented environment and be conscientious and detail oriented.

Job Opportunity: Structural Engineering Project Manager
Chayah Consulting Group is currently seeking an ambitious and dedicated individual to fill the role of Structural Engineering Project Manager. This position requires a candidate with a Professional Engineer (PE) certification and 6-12 years of experience in the field of structural engineering.
Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the scope, cost, and schedule of multiple projects and clients. This includes overseeing the work of junior staff and administrative personnel as necessary to ensure the successful completion of projects within budget and on time, meeting or exceeding industry standards.
Required Experience:
Candidates must possess experience in building and bridge design and review, with proficiency in steel, masonry, concrete, and timber structures. Previous experience in residential design is a desirable skill but not a mandatory requirement. 6-8+ years preferred
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in Autocad, Revit, and structural analysis and 3D software is essential for this role. The candidate must also have a deep understanding of building and material codes, as well as familiarity with local code requirements.
